Before you begin — check your supplies

Urine specimen cup (clean)

Brix Refractometer (0–10%) — sugar test
✓
Conductivity tester (EC20) — salts test

pH paper 5.5–8.0 strip Start with this one for all pH readings
✓
pH paper 3.0–5.5 strip Backup only — use if your reading hits the low end of the 5.5–8.0 strip
✓
Distilled water
✓
Graduated cylinder (100ml) — for measuring distilled water
✓
Universal Extraction Solution

Test tubes with caps

Pipettes (3ml transfer pipettes)

Baking soda + small glass bowl with ½ cup water Only needed if you are doing the nitrate & ammonia test yourself
